Well... [Posted by JoKeR on August 2nd, 2010, 5:58 am]

I don't know ...your style is something I can't really determine...
Your line art is somehow creepy ...but the wise you arrange your scene, the proportion of your characters and how the story is told ...demonstrates you know what are you doing. Are you hiding your real drawing skills?
I'm curious to see your pencil drawings.

Ah, the great moral question which occurs to all that seek power, either personal or political. "Am I willing to pay the price?"

I know the question was meant for the artist but, JoKeRcologne, just because you can draw the Mona Lisa, does not mean that you have to draw it every time you draw. This style fits the story really nicely--shakey lines and all. I don't think the story would have quite the same charm without it. These are "real drawing skills." Having the skill to draw life drawings and then creating stylized drawings from that is how great art and comics come about. The artist isn't hiding anything and it's very rude of you to say such.

Ha, sieablu, calm down buddy. Joker is saying what a lot of people are thinking, especially the ones that track down my old art. I've been drawing a looooooong time, I'm 35 now, and many things have come to influence my styles. I began drawing manga, then switched to a semi-euro style, and nowadays I can even do some decent super-hero stuff(from doing requests for so many years). Oldwizard came from a decision to do things in a way that allow me to effortlessly "draw anything". If the script ever calls for floating cities, undead armies, or say, An ocean being thrown into space by a giant ocelot, I can do it. Without much time invested in research or mock ups. As for pencils, there aren't any. I go strait to inks for most of my work these days.

If u want to see some of the manga work i'm putting together, I'll tease it.

And this 1 i'm more on the fence about, but it has potential.

another example [Posted by morikahn on August 2nd, 2010, 3:57 pm]

Laz is quite capable of more realistic art styles. Here are some examples of a Zuda.com entry he made.

and

The comic has a style to it. Its not something people are used to these days, I think, as too many artist focus on realism and airbrushing.

Wow, Rollkran. The fact that you're good at drawing all those different art styles makes you quite the respectable artist.

I really like the art style to OldWizard. Specifically I like how the protoganist has more of a cartoony character design and than everything around him is more realistic looking. And like JoKeRcologne said, the line art gives the story a very "creepy" feeling, yet the coloring for the scenery is so colorful.
